We are dangerously approaching the tenth edition of the Zagreb Film Festival, which will be held in Zagreb from 14 to 21 October, aswell as the deadline for submissions of films for the festival's competition program. Therefore, we remind you that the deadline is Sunday, the 15th July, while the  envelope mark may be dated 16 July, Monday.

Debutant films (meaning, filmmakers' first and second films) can be submitted using Online Application Form in the long and short feature film categories and in the documentary film category. Also, Croatian filmmakers are invited to submit their films of up to 30 minutes of running time for Checkers competition program. Deadline for submissions for Checkers only is 15 August.

 Zagreb Film Festival presents debutant films and new filmmakers in the international competition and new films of Croatian authors of up to 30 minutes of running time in Checkers competition program. In our main festival program so far we have had names like Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Li Yang, Anton Corbijn, Corneliu Porumboiu, Radu Jude, Joshua Marston and Paddy Considine. Checkers competition program, on its part, has announced numerous new names of Croatian film (Matija Kluković, Ivan Goran Vitez, Juraj Lerotić, Sara Hribar, Hana Jušić and others).
